A group of 8 year old boys, Laser guns, Mazes, running, sweaty, junk food, fizzy drinks, balloons, Birthday Cake - Must equal fun! This was my sons 8th Birthday at the local Laser Tag Centre.. even my hubby joined in the fun with them for two games...

to finish the day off, we spent the afternoon going for a drive into Newcastle, checking out the beaches, going for a walk down to the BogeyHole along the Newcastle Coastline (The Bogey hole was hand constructed by Convicts in the early 1820's for the Major and Affluent people).

I feel like I keep repeating myself

Again more natural disasters, this time poor ole Japan!! What a whoppa they have copped. An 8.9 earthquake followed by a massive Tsunami.. I just cannot believe it. Watching the news and the Tsunami coming in, and people being washed away, I was crying, the tears just wouldn't stop! So devastating...

I really can't believe how much we have had to succumb these past few months... Mother nature truly cracked her whip this time, making christchurches earthquake feel like a ripple compared to the magnitute of what Japan has just experienced....

Again I am proud to see people of all walks of life help each other... If these are the only truly wonderful experiences we can take out of such tragedy, it is a start....

My heart goes out to you all in Japan! We have experienced every such natural disaster since the turn of 2011. We have seen floods, cyclones, fires, heatwaves, earthquakes and now tsunami's. What has mother nature got instore of us next, or do we really want to know!!!

Stay safe everyone and make sure you tell all those you love that you love them and give them an extra kiss and cuddle...

I have been a lady of leisure since the kids started at school, especially since Cooper is now in Kindergarten. I have had three days all to myself. So going forward I had to try to fill my days, and I have done a good job of it.

Fridays mornings I have joined a Meditation class with some of the lovliest and most spiritually calm people. really do look forward to my Fridays.

At the beginning of March I was asked if I would like to teach a day class at a local Scrapbook Shop in Maitland. Of course I jumped at the chance, best of both worlds, I get to scrap and teach between 10am to 1pm while the boys are at school!!! Classes will start on the 5th April, these classes are fortnightly and the classes will be Double Layouts, as I find that all scrap classes available in the area are all single layouts.. Now just to fill the class and start in April.. Very excited.....

And of course what mother doesn't volunteer to do something with their childrens school at one stage or another. So here I am dedicating my Wednesday mornings to helping the year 3s with their Reading...

Ummm, OK, now what happened to my free days??? Ah, as they say what you give out you get back three fold. Least I know I am making people happy and lending a hand where needed...

Last but not least, a little shout out to my little big man Travis who turned 8 on the 6th march! Gosh how time flies. We are off to Laser Tag with a group of his friends on the weekend for his party!! Let the fun begin....

Our Own Mini Yasi

in my backyard. Here I have been watching the devastation of Mother Earth occuring all around us over the past few months, Australia has weathered the fires, the floods, the cyclones, the heat waves on numerous occasions, not to mention our neighbours New Zealand with their earthquake only just over a week ago!!

This afternoon what I thought was just another thunderstorm from the heat that we have been experiencing during the day turned out to be something much bigger. With no warning, our thunderstorm turned into our own Mini Yasi. Living in a city, (Newcastle, NSW) we are not prone to cyclones, so when this one hit, holy dooley, how frightening. We had hail, massive winds, the noises of tin rooves, and colourbond fences being ripped apart was undescribable. We had a trampoline from one street back, somehow got picked up like the house in the wizard of Oz, and dumped in our street, over two rows of houses only to land on a neighbours car. Trees down everywhere, powerlines down, fences and people BBQ Roofs in other peoples backyards. The noise of the wind howling against our windows with the force of the hail, was very frightening for the boys... I can only imagine what poor Queensland went through only 1 week ago, and ours was minor and lasted 5 minutes. But what a mess 5 minutes made.

Here is just a glimpse from my own street...

I still cannot believe that we have had so many natural disasters since the beginning of the year. Seems like there is a new one each week.. I did read a book called 2012 by Doreen Virtue, who foresees a huge change to the world come 21st december 2012, leading up to this date, especially 2011, we would see huge natural disasters world wide. Well I have to say, she is right on the money...

I just cannot believe it..

Here mother nature goes again! Now Christchurch has suffered at her hands with a massive Earthquake leaving devastation, destruction and absolute disbelief. Though again I am humbled at the people who risk their own lives to try to help rescue people, those who volunteer to help in any which way they can, these people are true heroes and makes me very proud that when disaster strikes, people band together no matter of nationality, race, social status and help each other. People this is what life is all about. No judgement, everyone is treated equal.. I think Mother Nature is trying to give us a lesson.

To all those people in Christchurch, I pray that you are safe. For my friend Hilary and her son Toby, I pray that you are unharmed. Please let us know when you can how you faired. To all those out there affected by Christchurchs Earthquake, godspeed to you all.

Riding the breakwall

Schools out for the weekend, and what better way to take advantage of the break that to take the kids into the foreshore to ride their bikes along the breakwall... Of course first stop on the way, Macca's breaky, armed with Coffee, where we sat under the picnic area at Nobby's beach. The day was a little overcast, nice and cool, we saw dolphins in the harbour, the boats on the water, fisherman fishing the breakwall, and all the little Nippers doing their thing at the Surf Life Saving Club.

Afterwards we went for a drive around Newcastle, taking in the sites. The boys wanted to go and have a look at the graveyard behind the Cathedral church as I had been talking about it a few days earlier about how old the graves were there. They date right back to the early 1800's. I'd say the first settlers of Newcastle.. Amazing really! We have such history and heritage in our own back yards...

My heart goes out...

Too all those affected by cyclone Yasi and the devastation and floods that she has caused... My heart sincerely goes out to you all... Here I am siting in the comfort of my own home with disbelief of what is going on all around us and the devastation that Queensland has been confronted with in the past few months.. "Shaking head in disbelief" We certainly have made Mother Nature quite upset, though what can we do to help heal her?

Sending all those affected my sincere prayers, a donation and love and healing for mother nature.

The day has come.....

and I lose my baby to Kindergarten! Boo Hoo! So now I have both my beautiful boys at school. travis is now in Year 3 and my baby Cooper is heading into Kindergarten. Gee honestly where does the time go? One minute they are babies and totally dependant upon you the next they are heading to kindergarten...

In the transition of the holidays, I changed the boys from our local public school to our local Catholic school. A few problems, worries and concerns fromt he public prompted me to change to the catholic. Wish I had done it right at the beginning now when Travis first entered Kindergarten. Never too late though!!

Its Australia day and I must say I am pretty proud to be an Aussie. We have seen such devastation of late through all the natural disasters that are occuring around Australia at the moment, and it warms my heart to see the compassion and morale of people step up and help out with rescues, with shelter, food, accomodation, love, support and everything else in between.

What does Australia day mean to you? Sand, Sun, Surf, Beach, Thongs, BBQ's, Beer, Family, Friends...

This Aussie day I spent it with my beautiful little family at Nelsons Bay, having brunch with my gorgeous Cousin Nikkole and her beautiful family, then off to the Markets by the beach, lunch and of course a swim at Netty's favourite spot ( Also the spot where we spread her ashes)...

We are so lucky to have some of the best and beautiful beaches and coastal lines around the world and they are right in our back yard, not to mention the vast array of restaurants there are, excellent food, entertainment and the like. So cheers to all us Aussies!! You do me proud!!

I am just loving creating double layouts at the moment, they seem so rare, you look through the mags or online and the majority of layouts are singles... I also love the way they look when you a flipping through you albums, so much more appealing to the eye looking at doubles. They are all co-ordinating and uniform where as Singles of course don't match each other in an album.

What is your preference and why? Would love to hear some feedback... Of course there is no right and wrong. I love singles too, and all different shapes and sizes as well as OTP. Just having a phase on the ole double layouts at the moment...

Now going forward I have to thank Dani Krivan for her sketch and layout inspiration in December's Kaisercraft Sketch.. I just love this layout and of course I had to recreate it for myself.. Awesome!!

A simple layout to start off the new year...

Of course we all have taken many photo's over the Christmas period, I know I certainly did. Taking photo's of the Putting up the tree ritual, the annual Christmas Card photo shoot, Christmas lunch and dinner pics, and not to mention the holidays thereafter...

So to get back into the swing of things for 2011, I have created a simple double layout for my first class to teach, which is tonight, collating some of your pics from your Christmas season...

I also wanted to share with you that my closest girlfriend in the world (jane) of over 30 years, and I, attended our first arfternoon at the Newcastle Spiritualist Church. http://www.newcastlespiritualistchurch.com/
It was so enlightening and uplifting. Nothing like a normal church service, no bible, the people talked about Law of Attraction, Spirituality, gave healing, we did a 10 minute meditation, two lovely poems were read, a lady gave a speach on Astrology we sang some well known songs like John Lennons - Imagine and Abba's - I have a dream and then the last half hour psychics gave little 5 minute readings. Honestly I truly felt comfortable there, the energy was light, uplifting and peaceful and am looking forward to next Sunday...

I will share with you a poem that was read yesterday. Its called... Live Each Moment

I may never see tomorrow, there is no written guarantee.
And things that happened yesterday, belong to history
I cannot predict the future, I cannot change the past
I have just the present moment, I must treat it as my last

I must use this moment wisely, for it will soon pass away

Thoughts and Prayers

Hello Everyone,

I have been watching the unfolding of the devastating weather that continues to destroy our country, as we all have and have been sending prayers every night. I can't believe that 75% of Queensland is affected by floods, and now WA, VIC and TAS are experiencing the same weather with cyclones on each side. This is just not Australian weather at all. Though whilst my heart strings have been pulled tight at all the devastation and destruction, I have also been amazed at the wonderful spirit of us Australians, and humanity in general, that pull together to help each other out in times of need. People letting strangers into their homes who need shelter, the thousands of volunteers who are out there helping with rescue, with clean up, with feeding people, filling the sandbags, and every other thing these amazing people have contributed to. Out of all the sadness I am so proud of these wonderful truly amazing selfless and brave people... My thoughts and prayers are with you all, please stay safe!

It even amazes me that two sworn enemies can band together and help each other out in times of need..

I believe that we have come to a time in our lives that the world is in chaos and utter disarray, mother nature has lost her path, and that our world is in need of some true healing... I am a big fan of the Secret and the Power, and we need to create peace, harmony and love to heal our planet. Please watch this video from the link that I share with you below, it is just amazing... Holiday Fun

Boys will be boys won't they! At any age. Ayden was visiting from Queensland, so what a perfect excuse to go out for the day and visit the Skate Park & the BMX Track.

The boys had a ball, showing off, doing tricks, riding around, and watching the bigger boys on their skateboards. They have done so much in the school holiday. Movies, skate park, BMX track, Foreshore Rides, Laser Tag, Toboggan Hill, play dates and camp outs... Gee have I missed anything.... Such a busy Chirstmas Holidays but we have had so much fun, and I have to say, am so not looking forward to them going back to school. Especially Cooper starting Kindy, I lose my baby!!

A wonderful friend of mine, Al Hannah, is starting the new year off on a positive note too, and created a vision board as a daily reminder of all the things she would like to achieve for 2011. I was so inspired by this that I had to create one too...

A vision board is a collage of images, words and affirmations of your dreams, desires and all positive aspects of your life you would like to achieve.

This year I am embarking on a spiritual journey, I want to achieve more spiritual growth, find more time to meditate, find balance, do yoga, listen to harmonious music, I need to breathe, heal, be grateful for everything I have in my life, find acceptance, read more spiritual books, be creative and alot of other positive attributes... I found creating my vision board quite humbling and made me really focus within on what I want to achieve this year. I am not interested this year on focusing on the assets, of a bigger house, a nicer car, having this and wanting that, I am focused this year on my inner self, this year its all about me...

I would love for you to join me and create your own vision board as a daily reminder of your aspirations and how you want your life to be... or just post what would be on your Vision Board...

Believe in your visions, the law of attraction is a powerful thing....

New Year New Me

Hopefully 2011 is a more peaceful, happy and focused year for me... Last year I struggled with alot of different aspects in my life, along with the death and mourning of my beautiful mum and I am determined that this year is going to start off positively...

The suicide of my mother has affected me in so many different ways. Last year I had so many different things to deal with, try to accept, which all came as a domino affect after the passing of my mum...

I lost my best friend, I have had to try and find my way without her support, her love, her friendship, her advice, her humour, and everything in between.. At times I felt like I had an invisible wall up against me and the whole world, no-one could see or feel how I was feeling, how truly alone I felt, how some days I could not breathe or even want to face the world. Though I got through 2010 and all it threw at me.

I am very proud of the fact that she was and will always be my mum, she taught me to be the person I am today, to love all people (and animals), to be kind, caring, to believe in spiritualism. Though I really need to find the time to meditate and do yoga each day just like she did... Find the calm within each day....

For those of us who can't help looking back at our lives and wondering what we could have done to do differently, today's inspiring quote will hopefully flip you around and help you face what's ahead. Classes are starting soon.....

Hello everyone!

My Classes with Creative Craft Shack are underway! So excited.

Classes will resume on Tuesday 29th June 2010 at 6.30pm to 8.30pm for a 10 week term.

I will be running classes every Tuesday evening 6.30pm to 8.30pm and Fridays 10am - 12pm. So you choose whether you would like to come of a night or a day!

Classes will be $20 per class and co-ordinating kits will also be sold if interested ranging from $10 - $15 per kit. We will also have extra kits available for purchase which will include all the instructions and materials to create your layout at home if you cannot come to our classes. These will range from $25 - $30. Let us know if you are interested and we can mail one out to you or come and visit the shop and buy one there.

To secure your place, a $40 deposit is payable now. If you do not miss any classes during the 10 week term, your last two classes will be free. Please either email me, message me with your contact details and I will get back to you with payment details.

Here is a sneak peak of the first 5 classes for the first 5 weeks. Excited? I know I am!

I'm Back ... I Hope....

Yoo Hoo! Anyone there??? Yes its me! I am back! Firstly I must apologise on the lengthy absence. I have had alot going on in the past 5 months. As most of you would know my mum passed away suddenly at the age of 55! Unfortunately she was suffering from anxiety and depression, and has struggled with both most of her life. Life here on earth for her was way too hard, she just couldn't find her happy place. On the 15th December 2009, she took her own life, and now I hope she has finally found her happy place.

As an only child, and very very close with my mum, it certainly rattled my chains. Alot of inner questions were and are still being asked from myself! How did I miss this, why didn't she call me, how could I have helped. It was such a hard day in itself, with Dad having a heart stress test which ended in him having some sort of heart / brain side affect, which landed him in hospital. Desperate to find mum all day, with no luck. Here I was thinking I was going to lose my dad that day and stayed by his bedside all day, and good ole life played the worst trick possible and took my mum.

It is now 5 months on, I am still struggling with the reality that I do not have my mum, my best friend, in my life any more. Some days are copeable, some days I just want to stay in bed all day and hide, and cry and just lose it, but I don't and I can't. So I just soldier on. In saying that, the loss of my mum so suddenly, the fact that she took her life, and knowing that I have to live the rest of my life without my mum, her help, her support, her love, the joy my boys brought to her life, knowing that I have lost my best friend is the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with in my whole life.

BUT, she would not want for me to put my life on hold like I have. I felt that I needed to take time out, to make sure my dad got through this OK, to make sure my children were loved, safe, to look after my family, and most of all to take time out to heal, to get through the emotions privately. If all that makes sense.

So today was the first day that I actually put back on my creative hat! Time to get back to the land of reality and the living. So back to teaching Scrapbooking. I need to get back to my happy place. As of the 29th June 2010, I will be back teaching what I loved best! Scrapbooking!! I am teaching back at Medowie with Creative Craft Shack! The girls there are just beautiful and can't wait to catch up with them again! Classes will run for 10 weeks, at $20 per class and a deposit of $40 to secure your place. I will also be making up kits to go with the tutorials if you are interested to try and make life easier for those who don't have the time to get supplies, or are new to the addiction and not sure on how to co-ordinate everything together. I will be teaching Tuesday evenings from 6.30pm to 8.30pm and Fridays from 10am to 12pm. I have a few class tutorials all ready to go. Please let me know if you are interested. Would love to see you there.

So here we are, 5 months on, and I haven't picked up a single scrap supply until this morning. I think the excitement of going back to teaching has brough back my enthusiasm and creativity! So excited. This morning I pulled out my papers, some pictures, started fiddling around and before you know it I have started and finished my first layout in 5 months. I am so proud of myself as I am sure my mum is too that my creative hat it back on!

Thanks to all my wonderful friends and family who have held me up, shown me the greatest love and support I have ever known. I am truly blessed to have the most wonderful family, husband and little boys who provide me with endless comfort, & unconditional love.

So now the next chapter of my life begins.... Hope you join me on my journey!

Scraptime.....

I have been scrapping up a storm lately! Creating layouts for up coming classes, a calendar for the end of the year to teach along with a Journal Jar, a Journal and a card for Travis's teacher. Thought I would share with you what I have created..

Here is a layout I created about my Scrapping Studio using Kaisercrafts Distracted Papers. Scrapping really is my sanity, my outlet, my therapy, and of course what a great subject to scrap!

This is Trav's teachers Journal Jar, Journal and Card for end of year present. The Journal Jar is all about being a teacher, alot of questions about her journey on how she became a teacher, why she became a teacher, where she has taught, fav things about teaching, etc...

This is my next years calendar using kaisers Lilac Avenue. I am actually teaching this as my last class for the year on the 22nd december 2009. If you want to create it too, make sure you book your seat ASAP, only limited seats and seats are booking fast. Only 5 seats left.

Well thats it on the scrapping front. Am also in the middle of completing Journal Jars for the girls at the scrap shop. These Journal Jars are questions all about themselves. At the end they will have a journal about the journey of their life. A fantastic keepsake for their children / grandchildren to read in years to come about the person they are... Will keep you posted with pics as I finish them.

Tonights class is....

The Kaisercraft Pack your bags double layout that we were going to do last week.

Also had a great night last night with the girls from the Salon with our monthly Scrapnight with Kaszazz. So nice to get together outside of work, and Nyree and I were naughty on the way home and called into Macka's for a Hot Caramel and Hot Fudge Sundae! LOL! We even took the scenic route home and checked out some of the Chrissy lights on the way home! Was really nice! Such a fun time of year, as well as hectic! LOL!

Looking forward to my class tonight, today I am staying at home, finish wrapping the Chrissy pressies, and working on a 2010 calendar to teach before the end of the year. Yeh!!!

Just think Only 17 days until Chrissy! Time is flying by!!!

A Break Away.....

Grant decided during the week that we needed to get away for a weekend before all the madness started for Christmas. Now anyone who knows me knows that I am not a huge fan of camping but hey I went and guess what I really enjoyed it.

Thursday arvo after work I went shopping and grabbed everything we needed, spend Thursday night packing all our clothes and getting organised. Grant and I both had Friday off work and we let the kids have a day off school! They were both so excited. Charged their DS Nintendo's up and Friday morning we packed the car and headed off at 9.30am. We drove for 3.5 hours to Chaffey Dam near Nundle (Tamworth area).

I really must say I was quite surprised at how dry and brown everything is once you pass Singleton. Truly heartbreaking. And its only November, whats it going to be like come January / February??? Going to be a bad year for fires I would think.

Once we got to Chaffey Dam, we set up camp and Grant got straight into fishing and we all settled in, only to be hit with not one but three thunderstorms, within about 1 hour of each other. Well the tent did not like the wind and Grant and I ended up holding up each side while the storms went through! LOL!

I must also say, what is it with boys and rocks. As soon as we got settled and Grant set up his fishing, the next thing we know, the boys are at the waterside, picking up rocks and throwing them into the water. LOL! Cooper was entertained for hours doing this, it was great! He got so much enjoyment with throwing rocks in to the water. LOL!

Coop and rocks and our storms Grant managed to catch the heaviest fish - an 8kg Carp on 4kg Line, and it wasn't until that night we realised that he had a world record and we didn't save it. Bugger it, Grant was truly devastated! Looks like we will be chasing world records next year! LOL!

Other than the fishing, and the relaxing, kicking back, I read some of my book - Paulina Simons new book. The second day we moved camp, due to the wind and found a more sheltered spot which was much more secure. I think come the new year it will be time to look for a camping trailer, that you just pull out and away you go. None of this setting up tents, trying to hold them up in huge winds! Actually looking forward to the next trip! Though in saying that, I think March would be good. Not too hot!

Relaxing and Kicking Back

Late Sunday arvo we got home, unpacked and crashed! Mum and Dad came round to catch up on our adventures and Coop decided he wanted a sleep over with Nan and Pop! WOW, so excited, can't remember the last time nan and pop had one of the boys over night. Well that was my weekend all wrapped up! Back to the daily grind in the morning.

Christmas Carols

Travis's school put on a Christmas Carols. Each class had their own carols to get up on stage to sing and dance to. It was so cute to watch and such a great way to spend a night with the kids doing something Christmasy!

The school did such a wonderful job, there were sausage sizzles, cold drinks, lollies, glow sticks, flashing candles, raffles, a stage for the kids to get up and sing their songs complete with lights. This is one of the best shows Woodberry School has put on.

I was so proud of Trav up there on stage, singing and dancing, enjoying himself and having a wonderful time. He had stage fright to start with and really didn't want to go up, that old lack of confidence kicked in, but by the time he got up there, he ended up in the front row, dancing, singing and having a ball! It was so cute and I was so proud....

Can't wait for next years, was talking to Jo who was the mastermind behind the whole concert, and a bloody great job she did too, and next year they are going to add fireworks at the end of the night! WOW! This kids will go crazy!

Had a lovely catch up today with Sandy! Really enjoy our get togethers. I am so lucky to have found such a loyal and great friend through the world of scrapbooking. And extra bonus she only lives 10 minutes away! Could come and visit with you every day Sandy! Its about time you had a cry on my shoulder instead of the other way round! Bout time I could return the favour! Love you!

I was a sucker today as well and let Trav have the first day of the month off. The boys have been hanging out to put the tree up, so we all did it today! Have a traditional tree this year. Last year was Blue and Silver, the year before Green & Gold, this year it is Red, Green and Gold. Love the traditional look! Even managed to put a few pressies under. Such a nice time of year bonding with the kids putting the tree up! We had so much fun!

Well tea is done and dusted, think I might settled back with a few Christmas recipe books and find some nice recipes for Christmas lunch. Going to have Christmas lunch with my parents and Aunty at my place this year instead of going to theirs. Give mum a break this year. Then go to Grants family for dinner! Though in saying that, haven't heard of their plans yet! Busy Busy!
Then our traditional BBQ on Boxing day for Coops Birthday! The big 4!!!

Life has been .......

super busy and super stressful the past few weeks. I have been busy this week creating a few Chrissy presents for the girls who work at the Scrap shop where I teach! Will post up some pics when I actually get around to taking them.

Finished all my Chrissy shopping this week. Phew! what a chore that is! Also finished off all my Chrissy Cards, all hand made, just have to remember to buy stamps. The kids are busting at the seems to put the tree up but I told them not before the 1st December!

Had a big week with mum. She hasn't been well at all. Spent alot of time looking after her, keeping her mind occupied, taking her out, etc.

Though I did have my fortune told on Saturday! WOW! So so accurate. Describe Grants, Travs. Coops and my personalitys to a T! So bizarre! Was a really positive reading, really enjoyed it. Jan was a lovely lovely lady! Would definately go back to her. She reads your Astrology charts and then does the Tarot Cards. WOW! She even picked up that my car is having meltdowns and its time for a new one, her words "Your car has gremlins"! LOL! Love it!
I have been out of car nearly all week, this is constantly happening the past few months, the mechanic can't find the problem. Spent a fortune on it, and still keeps dying and playing up! I love that it has Gremlins! LOL! So true! She also said that I had spent to much money already on trying to fix the problem, and that they will never find the problem it is just Gremlins. Thinking a Prado very soon down the track!

a beginners crash course on paper piecing. Nothing to elaborate, just some a few different size circles using your scraps to create a tree. Paper piecing seems to be the craze in the scrapbook world at the moment, so why not introduce you to this craft the easy way.

I went to see.....

New Moon today! OMG how good is this! And how hot is Jacob??? OMG! Talk about goosebumps!!! The movie was sooooo good. I really can't wait for the next two movies! These have to be the best movies of all time. I really really loved the books, they had me hooked from Twilight, and only took me like 1-2 days to read each book! Now the books have come to life and it is awesome!!!

Has anybody else seen New Moon? What did you think? Who else is a huge Twilighter fan like me?

Apart from that my life has been quiet. Been hybernating inside the house for 4 straight days of 40 degrees or more! Too hot to go outside. Even saying that it is nearly 7pm and it is still in its mid 30's outside. What is going on with the seasons? We don't usually get weather like this until January / February, and its only November!!! Here's hoping that January / February is more like Autumn then, seeing that we are getting Summer now in Spring! So confusing!!!

Now as for Christmas I am getting organised! I have my boys done, and pressies wrapped. Little snoops kept looking for them, easier to wrap them! Ha Ha Ha! Have even done Coops birthday pressie and wrapped them to ready to go, seeing that his birthday is the 26th december! The big 4!! So exciting! Have done my parents, have done my Sister in Law, have done my Aunty, and Grants niece and nephew, though still have Grant, Grants Brother and partner, Grants Dad, Mele & the kids, and a few others. I am making all the salon girls a gift, along with Trav's teacher and the lovely Leanne at the Scrap Shop! So better get cracking on those too. Can't believe how fast this year has flown nd its nerly time to put up the tree and all the lights! *Wiping brow* How are you going with all your Christmas preparations???

creative juices flowing this week. I have scrapped a double layout, something I hardly ever ever do, but thought I'd challenge myself, as one of the girls where I teach asked if I could come up with a double layout on holidays. So what does that focus on? Heaps of pics!!!! But I stood up to the bar and using the new Kaiser Pack you bags range came up with a simple double layout that was quite quick to put together. Surprised myself actually!

For some reason the double layout keeps coming up as sideways, so will have to post another pic later when I work out what is going on!!!

Also this weekend I manage to create two more layouts. Both for classes at Medowie. One layout I focused on doodling, the other on paper piecing.

All I want for Christmas

This week has been so busy! We have finished on side of the fence with one side to go, we have had a new air con go in just in time for summer as our last one died at the end of summer last year.. Lucky for us we didn't need it during the year as we have the fire... This weekend we will be fencing again all weekend to do our other fence, though I have to say, the cream colourbond with the black trim looks awesome... Makes our yard look even bigger than it already is.. we have a 1300 m2 block, which is practically all backyard. 55metres is just one of the side fences! Yes pretty big for a suburban block, and we back onto 100's and 100's of acres, so no back neighbours, just the two side ones. We are going to leave the back fence open with a wooden post and rail fence (something like horse studs have), so it doesn't block out our beautiful view.

On that note I am also back to working at the salon in the morning, looking so forward to getting back there, missing the girls terribly. Lucky for me I did go in yesterday and had some maintenance done before starting again, so got a little fix from seeing the girls...

I hope you all have a brilliant weekend, for me it will be more fencing!!!

Hunter Valley Gardens.

Today I took my mum, Aunty and my two boys to the Hunter Valley Gardens. My mum has had my Aunty staying with her for the past three weeks now, taking care of her while she recoups, we had ops on the same day, just in different states! LOL! She fell down a flight of stairs and shattered her left shoulder. Has 10-11pins and 1 plate. Twice a week I take them somewhere, whether it is out to a cafe somewhere just for a coffee, a drive around the coutryside, lunch at Blackbutt Reserve, and today it is HVG! Aunty Trish hadn't been here before, so it seemed like the place to go!

We had such a lovely day! Took nearly two hours to walk around the whole gardens. The boys absolutely loved the Storybook Garden! It had statues all through the gardens of characters out of old storybooks, like Humpty Dumpty, Jack and Jill, Pussy in the Well, Baa Baa Black Sheep, Little Bo Peep, Alice in Wonderland, etc... Fantastic!!!

Though in saying that we did miss two displays, as Aunty Trishs arm was aching and the boys were getting restless... After the gardens, we went and had some lunch then ventured over the other side of HVG where the village is, and shopped at the Chocolate Shop, the British Lolly Shop, and had a look in all the other shops. Finally we decided to take another break, grabbed an icecream and waffle and parked ourselves in the shade right beside the kids playarea, and let the kids have a play for half an hour before going home.

We were pooped! Didn't get home until 5.30pm! The kids crashed in the car on the way home! Bliss! Least I know we will all sleep well tonight! Tomorrow is the start of putting up the new fences. Wonder how far we will get???

A Boy??? A Girl???

I decided to do some spring cleaning, and go through the kids wardrobes, bookcases, toyboxes and once I had finished sorting and tidying there, I started on my room. Well of course Cooper had to be right in the middle of it all. Too funny! Here I was sorting out my underwear, socks and swimmers drawers when Coop strips off and starts putting on my stuff! Oh I was in stitches. In the end he was happy with a purple pair of my G's and one of my tops of a tankini. Well I was in hysterics. He was posing, and struting his stuff in front of the wardrobe mirrors.

I then told his to go and show daddy, and to start off with daddy was horrified, his son dressing in girls clothes, but after he got over his macho ways, he too found it funny. Who could resist with the posing! Anyway, we headed back inside, I grabbed my camera and here he was working his poses for the camera too! Way too funny! But beware, some pics are graphic! LOL!

OMG Cooper, you are way too funny!

The joys of little boys!!! OK Baack to it! Better go and finish off my room now!!! Then onto the toys in the loungeroom and back room! Its like Toys r us in this house!!! And Christmas is coming!!! Need to make room for the new!!! LOL!

Clogs

This is the last layout that Leanne will be teaching and I will be back in full swing next week! Yeh!!! Thanks so much Leanne, you are a real gem! I will also be back at the salon too as of the 30th October! So looking forward to going back to work, so missing all the girls at the salon! Thanks Janet for looking after my Fridays for me! Best boss in the world!!!

So tonights class is my Clogs Class! So love the Babushka range from Kaiser! And these papers fitted perfectly with the pic of my Mother in Law in Clogs while she went back home for a visit! She is Dutch! Hope you girls can make it, and make sure you have in your diaries to come visit me next Tuesday night!

This week has also seen me order in a new air con, which will arrive and be installed next week. Our Fences also arrived and are safely in storage in our shed. Fingers crossed the weather will be all good for Sunday, and Grant can start to put them up! Be so nice to have a fence again, but will miss the view of the back paddocks.... Travis has gone back to school this week, so its back to one child. Though in saying that I have enrolled Cooper in two days next week. Mondays and Fridays. Pity I work both those days! LOL! Have also done some scrapping this week. Finished a layout using the Rewind Kaiser papers and some Christmas Cards using the Christmas Carnival Papers. Now just to finish my Christmas Layout using the Dear Santa Kaiser papers and my Birds House using the Duchess Kaiser papers. Will post pics soons...

Week 3!

Well I must say I am feeling alot more like my normal self. I had my post operative appointment today with Dr Jaaback, and all went pretty good. I even have pics of what my insides looked like! Ewwww! He found that I had endo on both my ovaries, as well as inside, also had endo on my uterus and on my bladder. He burnt/cut off what he could on the outside of the ovaries, uterus and bladder. I also have cysts on the inside of my ovaries, which he has left. Plus a curette to flush everything out! I still have all my girly bits and no cancer! Yippee! He was hesitant to remove my ovaries because I am still young, and by removing my ovaries will cause me to go straight onto HRT! Something he wants to avoid for quite a while yet. So going forward I just have to try to persevere with the discomfort for as long as I can. To slow the endo down, he recommends I go back on the pill (OMG) and only have a period 1-3 times a year! Well that I can handle... Bring that on!

Leanne is teaching again for me tonight. Where would I be without Leanne! tonights class is my School Layout using Lace cardstock and Kaisers Dot to Dot Range. Hope you can make it.

Recovery is going a little better in my second week. I have progressed to being able to go out in the car and things are improving. My cut in my belly button is still quite sore as is my bladder. Wierd!! I have watched so many movies I couldn't even name them all but here are a few I can remember off the top of my head. Gforce, Aliens in the Attic, Ice Age 3, Transformers 2, Ghosts from Girlfriends Past, Confessions of a Shopaholic, the first season of True Blood, The last house on the left, 17 Again, Renee Zellwegers new one (can't remember the name), Bring it On (the latest one), Fired Up, OMG I am all movied out. Grant even took the boys to see Up at the movies. I stayed home! Have been doing a little scrapping, but only manage about 10-15 minutes at a time before my stomach starts to ache! Bring on Week 3!

Hope you are all enjoying the school holidays! Its so nice to have all three of my boys home (thats hubby included)!

Grubby Layout

As for my recovery, it is coming along slow. I still have not progressed into Jeans yet, only Pj's and trackies. Lucky for me I am still housebound, doing a lot of resting, watching movies, reading, etc. Hubby is home looking after me, wrangling the kids, doing his best at the housework and doing the dinner duties. Bliss really! Now just to get rid of this pain and I would say I was in heaven! I am sure a few more weeks and I will be doing heel clicks in the air again! LOL!

Hi Honey I'm home.....

Well everyone, things went better than ever! Firstly, NO CANCER! Yeh, woot woot! Jumping for joy! What they did find was that I have endometriosis. My left ovary had an endometrial haemorrhage, and had actually ruptured a week or more before surgery! Hence the pain! Arggg! Though the ovary was absorbing it into my monthly cycle. I had keyhole surgery, had what endometriosis Dr Jaaback could burn away and had a complete curette to flush everything else out! As far as I am aware at this point in time, I am still ALL female, haven't lost any girly bits! LOL! Apparently cancer markers can rise when you have endometriosis that becomes inflamed or haemorrhages, hence why mine kept rising. Not necessarily meaning that you have cancer. Wish someone had of told us that in the beginning.

They actually sent me home from surgery the same day and I have been recouperating at my parents house. Very scared to stay at home with the boys incase I got hit in the stomach, or Cooper decided to crawl into bed with me. Not a good idea, so I had been staying at my parents until this morning, and I'll brave it out from now on in. *Biting fingernails* .

I look like I have been probed by aliens with 4 puncture wounds to my stomach, though I am mobile, and been pottering around, then lying down when I need to.

Have to send a huge thank you out to all of you who have sent text messages, emails, phonecalls, get well cards and flowers. I truly am so grateful to have such wonderful, thoughful and caring friends, family, workmates, etc. Thankyou all so much! Positivity is a great world to live in, and I can't have asked for a better outcome. A huge sigh of relief.

a little scrapping... That awful wind is blowing again with dust in it, so while the kids are housebound once again, I got on the creative bandwagon, and made some cards and a canvas out of Kaisers Flutterby range. I really do love this range and don't really have a chance to use it seeing that I have a houseful of boys. This is one of my husbands friends daughters, who just loves coming to visit me so we can scrapbook together.. She is truly a gorgeous little girl... Going to give this to her for Christmas along with another one when I get around to completing that too.

"There is no place like home"

Well I woke yesterday morning, not quite sure if I had woke on Mars or whether I had been thrown straight into the Wizard of Oz. "Toto, where are you". I made sure I wore my bright red sparkly shoes all day so I could click my heels together and say "There is no place like home". No just kidding!!! Though wasn't that red dust storm just terrible.....

I have spent all day, apart from doing the bookwork, cleaning, dusting, washing cars, hosing the whole house down, gardens, garage, etc. My kids had the day off school, as I just wasn't going to tempt fate and have them come home full of sinus, allergies or asthma.... So we just veged out all day inside, watching movies and playing XBox with all the doors loaded up with towels so the dust wouldn't get underneath. Here I thought I was being so smart, but no that red dust just came right on in, through our tiled roof and down through our downlights. You couldn't pay me enough to live out in the outback. Yuk!!!

Here is a pic I took yesterday of the dust storm, then again this morning just to show the difference. This old shed is in the 200 acres behind us... Looks very rustic in the red dust don't you think...

Seeing that my class was postponed today, guess what!! I still scrapped! LOL! I decided to make my dad a 60th Birthday card.

Then I decided to make a Gratitude Journal. I don't know if any of you have read "The Secret" but it is very inspiring for positive thinking. I wanted a journal to capture little daily affirmations, write down things I am grateful for etc...

Then I was on a roll, so decided to make myself a Diary for my classes, so that I had somewhere to keep all my contacts, ideas that I come up with, techniques to cover, and a weekly place to put what layout I am doing each week, with a materials list, things I need to take with me, etc. Feel more organised now and feel like I have accomplished alot today.

Close Up Also went to spotlight and bought the new Bella Sarah Jane Papers, and on the way home, hubby and boys and I went to the Hunter River Hotel and had lunch! Was a lovely Sunday, and the weather was fantastic. The boys bought some water balloons at spotlight, so the afternoon was full of water fights! LOL!

I even got a reprieve from cooking tonight. Grant decided that he was going to try out the new BBQ and cook a roast in it! Well, I have to say that is the last time I cook a roast, Grant now has the job! What a top job he did too! And no mess on the BBQ! Even better! Thanks Granto!

Crusty Demons in the making...

Oh I am terrified, I have my heart in my throat. Cooper just totally freaks me out and he is 3!!! Stunts!! This is his favourite past time at the moment, the scarier the better. And he is so proud of himself when he completes them!!!

The latest ones are getting his little mongoose up onto the trampoline, then riding around and around in circles on the mat! He looks like he belongs in the circus. LOL!

Then the next trick is to push the slippery dip right up close to the tramp, ride the bike from the tramp to the slippery dip, then ride the bike down the slippery dip! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it, I think my heart fell out of my mouth! OMG!!! True dare devil in the making I am sure.

Then when he is on the Peewee, his newest trick is to do donuts, the bigger the tyre spin and rocks flying the better, he even leans into the bike to make it spin around faster! If this isn't a Crusty Demon in the making at 3 years old, or its definately time to buy shares in Emergency!!

Then I have sweet Trav who is still scared to ride the Peewee by himself at 6! He just loves to get on with DAD and look gorgeous!!! I think this one is going to be in the movies... LOL!

Unfortunately my Christmas Gift Album I was supposed to be teaching tomorrow has just been postponed due to only 4 people booked in. So we will aim for November. Don't forget to book in...

Firstly I wanted to say a big thankyou to all the wonderful girls I taught last night. 13! WOW! Was super excited to teach 13 on my first class with Creative Craft Shack. All these girls were so lovely, made me feel very welcoming. And Leanne is such a lovely and helpful owner of the CCS, she even joined in and did the class too! Very exciting stuff.

Next Tuesday night I am teaching, by request, a layout with paper weaving. So if you are interested, don't forget to give CCS a call and book in.

Scraptime..

Last night I went to our monthly scrapclass with the girls from the salon at Kaszazz. Love these nights. A night off, a night to just scrap without thinking, a night hanging with my girls... I love these girls, the best bunch of girls to work with. So lucky!!

Tonight I have my first teaching class at Medowies Creative Craft Shack. I am teaching a Heritage layout seeing there were many requests for one. I gave you a sneak peak the other day so here is the actual layout. Looking forward to it.

RIP Leroy

OMG Today has been one of the saddest days! My parents dog "Leroy" had to be put down today. He has been diagnosed with Bowel Cancer for the past 2 months, he was given a week to live and has lasted this long. He was the most gentlest, softest, biggest heartbreaker in the world. So well mannered, so loyal, the best dog to clone. If only we could have...

He woke Sunday morning a little off colour, mum and dad went out for their Sunday drive in the Vette, and had lunch at Hinton Pub, when they got home Leroy hadn't even gotten out of bed. Sunday afternoon we went around to give him cuddles and pay him attention, and he didn't even move. Just layed there and blinked his eyes at us. Ohhh so sad!

Monday morning mum rang the vets to come and put him down at home. Mum and I both had a paw each, and showering him with kisses, cuddles and tears, while they put him to sleep. So going to miss you big fella!!! The angels can take care of you now...

THE RAINBOW BRIDGE
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

A Birthday Party..

What a lovely weekend... Such a beautiful day today, the sun was shining the weather was warm and I had to take Travis to Blackbutt for a Sausage Sizzle Birthday Party. I stopped on the way to grab some bread for the ducks....

SO lovely just sitting around watching all the kids from Travs calls play together for Kaitlyns 7th Birthday! They played pass the parcel, we fed the ducks, they played red rover cross over, and hit the pinyata! Heaps of fun, heaps of food, lollies and cake.

Tonight we are having a BBQ at home with Grants mates from work. Better get a move on, heaps more to do yet... Hope your having a lovely weekend...

Travs First School Concert

Here I was thinking that I was having Friday off to rest and realised it was Trav's first school concert. So I spent the morning resting before heading off to Travs school concert in the afternoon.

It was so much fun! It was so cute to see the little kindergartens sign and dance on stage to the Lion King, and the older primary's sing and dance to Bob the Builder. The Year 6's pt on a Grease Medley, which was super cool and Trav and his class dressed up as Shrek, sung and danced to "I'm a Believer". So cute! Was very very proud. Think Travvy scrubs up pretty cute as a Shrek! LOL!

Also just a quick condolance for all those affected by the September 11!!! RIP!

Oncology called today, am now booked in for the 30th September... I was hoping for a date sooner rather than later, but at least now I have three weeks to organise dinners to put into the freezer while I am away, down load my CD's onto my IPOD, and organise some layouts for my classes for Leanne to teach while I am out recovering... I am sure that three weeks will come around soon enough....

I definately excelled myself this year.... Grant has been so busy of late pulling down our back fences, to make way for lovely cream 6ft colourbonds, that I thought I would buy him a gorgeous new 6 burner - 3 plate Stainless Steel BBQ, complete with WOK and utensils. OMG he was super excited..... Travis bought him Screwdrivers and Occy Straps from the School Stall, and Coop brought home a No1 Dad mug and socks plus a handmade card from me! Talk about spoilt....

My dad scored a Jump Pack, which is like a Battery that is charged and you can jump a car anytime you like without having to grab another car and jumper leads. He needs one of these as he was always borrowing Grants when his Corvette or Ride on Lawn Mower won't start! He was super happy and surprised too! Got Grant to get me one from Snap On! Now just to get him the mobile Chainsaw Sharpener that attaches to the jump pack so that he can sharpen his chainsaw even while he is out in the bush!

After visiting Netty's special spot, we took the kids down to the Skate Board Park and let them ride around for a little while, of course the big Kid (Grant) had to get in on all the action with the boys. LOL! You are so funny!!! We then had a lovely lunch at Anna Bay Tavern with my parents, Grants Dad, brother, sister in law and kids... Such a gorgeous day in the sun!

So Grateful for my family!

One Year Today

Grants mum passed away! Can't believe how quickly a year has gone, it really only feels like yesterday!

Grant, myself, my parents, Grants dad, Brother and partner, all met at Netty's Special spot where we scattered her ashes. Grant and I threw a bunch of flowers in the water, said a few words and I read out a poem.

Another update...

Over the course of the week, I went back to have another cancer marker test. Thursday I got the results back that my cancer markers have increased from 76 to 101. Yes, the stress levels rose a little more... Rang my oncologist again today, and the game plan has changed again. I am now placed on the ASAP list for surgery, not the end of the month, and I will be having a hysterectomy now. So two positives out of it all, it will soon be all over and done with and secondly no more periods! Yeh!! Just have to wait for that magic phonecall to go in! Waiting.. Waiting....

Didn't have the greatest of days at work today either, think all the stress, pain, etc has caught up with me and had a ripper headache. Finally took Jans advice and went home at 3pm. Went home, straight to bed to sleep it off. Lets hope for a brighter weekend and a phonecall real soon!

A little scrap time out...

Needed something to keep my mind focused on this week, so managed to find myself some mojo and create some Fathers Day cards just in time for Fathers Day this weekend. Have bought my hubby and my dad the best fathers day pressies. So happy with myself...

Have also been working on my first Teaching Mini album, and am quite happy with the end result. The majority is all Kaisercraft. Love the Gift Album and fell in love with the Pear Tree Papers when they came out last year! Now just to source all the materials to create a kit and set a date....

I really am grateful that I have scrapbooking as a part of my life where I can distract myself, lose myself and focus entirely on creation.. I have really needed this therapy lately!!! What do you like to do when you need to lose yourself and have time out????

Another Farewell

This weekend, the farewell's continued at Rod's mums place with all the family and friends. It was great to see Rods sister, and have all our friends under the one roof, though unfortunately our festivities were cut short as my good ole hubby wrote himself off so much that I had to take him home at 8PM! Is this a sign he is getting old! LOL!

One of Grants best mates is off on a big move of his life, moving from the ole country town of Kurri all the way to Darwin to be with his girlfriend. Though we wish him all the best, OMG are we going to miss him, not only was he a mate, he was a fishing buddy, a partner in crime, and just a great all round great friend. So I thought I would have a little BBQ with some of his closest mates. And what a great night it was.... A few drinks, a great BBQ, many laughs, some great pressies, and yummy mud cake!

A new scrapstore "Creative Craft Shack" has opened in Medowie, and of course I have been visiting frequently on my days at work while I am at the salon.

Friday on my weekly visit, Leanne, the owner of Creative Craft Shack, asked me if I would be interested in doing some teaching! OMG, yes!!!! This is just the focus I need right now.... Leanne wants my first class to be a Christmas Off the page. Looks like I better get my thinking caps on.

Took some of my work in today, layouts and OTP to showcase at the shop, just to show customers what type of work I do! Fingers crossed they like what they see and can't wait to do classes with me! Yeh! Happy Dancing, Woot Woot!!!

Oh and PS! My Kaiser Paper Piecing Cards are featured in this months Scrapbook Creations. Two pages! Another Woot Woot!! So excited!!

A little update....

Visited with the Oncologist today. Looks like I am booked in for surgery at the end of September. Have to have another cancer marker blood test at the beginning of September and another Ultrasound a week later, just to check on what is happening. He said that it could be endometriosis, and that endo can also elevate cancer markers... At this stage if it is just endo, I will loose my left ovary and left fallopian tube and thats it, if it is cancer, I will have a complete hysterectomy as well as having my pelvic lymph nodes removed and the surrounding fatty tissue.

Can't say these past few weeks have been easy!!!

We decided to have a family day out complete with my parents as well. we took the kids to Toboggan Hill Park at Nelsons Bay! Oh what fun we had. The boys loved loved loved the tobogganing! They each had 8 goes, all with a different person. Of course Grant had to go the fastest on the first trip down and took the skin off his knees and elbows trying not to derail the sled with him and Travis on it! LOL!

After tobogganing, we ventured into the Bay and had Hogs Breath for lunch! Yummmm. Afterwards we let the kids ride their bikes along the esplanade and around the park. Of course by the end of the day on the drive home, they both crashed, sound asleep in the back seat!

A bit to catch up on....

Sorry I haven't been around in a while, its just been one thing after another. Firstly, my parents dog, Leroy, who is the most gorgeous gentlest dog was diagnosed back in July with Bowel cancer, he had been given a week to live but he is still soldiering on. He is only 6!!! So not that old at all, so not far!!!

Secondly I have been having a few health issues myself. Went to my doc because of pain in my left lower side. Went and had an ultrasound, doc sent me to Gyno as he thought it may have been a cyst. Gyno decided to not treat me, instead he referred me onto Oncology at the John Hunter, wan't sure what he was dealing with but it wasn't a cyst. The growth is on the inside of the left ovary and is 5cm x 5cm. A normal ovary is somewhere between 1.5cm - 3cm. In the meantime I had to go and have a cancer marker blood test to see what we were actually dealing with. Cancer marker came back elevated. A normal persons cancer marker is between 0-20, mine came back 76.

Of course I've been in stress overload, and have been trying hard to remain positive, I have alot of friends and family around me to support me, and my intital appointment with oncology isn't until the 18th, so not long now.

These gorgeous flowers came today from my cousin in Sydney! Just the thing to brighten up my day! Thanks Nikkole, your the best!!!

Got a phonecall off Nyree yesterday to say that her Big Momma Pig had 11 little piglets, so Hi Ho Hi Ho its off to Nyree's we go! Me and boys couldn't wait! OMG they are so cute! we had a wander around the farm, had a look at the chooks, the ducks, the minature horse, the cows, the dogs and of course the little piggies. So very peaceful out at Nyree's! Thanks for having us!

OMG "What a Night"

P!NK totally rocks!!! She is just awesome!!! This is my third time I have been to see her in concert and she is just brilliant, a true entertainer, and a wonderful vocalist to go with it...

Unfortunately the night started off with a fizz, with me and my foggy flu head, I forgot our toiletries. Der!!! So no hair products, (OMG), no makeup (Argggg) and no perfume (Bugger) so it was a quick trip into Newy and over $100 later I had some supplies...

Then it was back to the Crowne to have a relaxing Spa, Grant had a few beers (me on antibiotics - so I behaved), got ready and off to Pink, only to be told at the door, that my camera was allowed! Bahhh Humbug!!! But once we were in, the concert was fantastic, awesome, totally rocked and so was this mornings Sunrise... Now to go home and rest and get rid of this flu!

I've just been on a spending spree. Love Love Love the new Q1 ranges and had to have me some of the new Loire Valley range and a few bits and pieces. Got home this afternoon and this parcel was on my doorstep. Couldn't have come at a better time! Yeh now just to find the time to play!!

Sorry its been a while, you take a short break and the world just goes haywire...

How sad about Michael Jackson, a true ecentric individual who had an art all of his own! So many tributes on Fox at the moment, have watched quite a few of his video clips over the past few days... Was very saddened to hear that he had passed away as I was for Farrah as well! Though she is in such a better place now. Cancer is a horrible terrible unnecessary disease...

On my mum front, now news is still good news right! She is still having blood tests, but is improving. Not as sick as she was, but not 100% either. Nothing came back with the animal viruses either, none of the common human viruses, no tumours, cancer, etc. Her liver counts have gone down from 238 down to 139 now, so they are dropping, which is a good thing, and also an indication of why some days she is feeling a little brighter.... So there is sunshine at the end of the rainbow! Yeh!!

Also been having wisdom teeth problems. Yuk! Why were these ever invented? I am sure that 99% of us have to have them out! You would think that in the case of revolution that us humans would slowly fade them out! Last weekend I ended up going to the hospital, dentists instructions, as I could not get an emergency visit until Monday. To cut a long story short, I found out I had an abcess on the bottom RHS wisdom tooth, and top and bottom RHS wisdom teeth were impacted. Pain!!! Understatement!! On Wednesday I finally got them both pulled out, in the chair, no happy gas, just block injections & stitches...... OMG traumatic! I cried, I sooked, I yelled, I hated it, I came out shaking like a leaf, white as a ghost, and my legs trembling until I had to sit down.

From Wednesday up until today, I haven't really done much at all. Haven't even ventured out of the house. Doped up on pain killers, watching movies, (have to admit - watched Twilight a few times - totally addicted), sipping everything through a straw. Hopefully in another few days I can open my jaw and start to eat normally again! Thanks Sandy for the visit and the choccie, I have tried eating it, just keep it in my mouth and suck on it, savour the flavour. You are such a gem! And also thank you from the bottom of my heart to those of you who have emailed, or rang me to check on me! Love you girls, so blessed to have such gorgeous friends...

Though today I think I was going a little stir crazy, so I decided to create a project. I love Crate Papers Lemongrass papers. Had the pack sitting there and hadn't used it. So I decided I would make the Stationery Set by Becky Roberts. Well I must admit, I did finally get it finished this afternoon, after numerous interruptions. Just popping in

to let you know that I am still around! LOL! Not much happening in my camp at the moment. Spending most of my time at my parents as my mum is ill (something wrong with her liver), had heaps of tests so far, but still no answers. Been busy cooking dinners, etc. So not much happening in my world at home.

Though I have managed to scrap one layout! Pagemaps created a sketch for a comp called Love me some Basic Grey! I really loved the sketch, so I thought I would give it a go, seeing that I haven't been all that creative lately!

Here is the Sketch...Heres my layout!

Oh and one more thing I have done, I had my hair recoloured. Gone is the blonde locks and in comes the warm shades for winter! Loving it!!! Also love spending a few hours in the salon on the receiving end! Some girly me time!!!

Well girls thats me for now! Will update as soon as I have some news on my mum! Well on the positive front we know it isn't cancer, swine flu, malaria, jaundice, Hepatitis A, B, C, or D! Her liver is enlarged, and a normal persons count should be somewhere between 0 -30, (closer to 0 the better), mums is 238!! So this week she is being tested for zoonoses, as she works with animals at the vets and her doctor thinks she may have picked up an animal virus, like Q Fever, Brucellosis, Leptospirosis, etc. Gosh what mouthfuls. Crossing fingers we have answers this week.

Friends are so.......

Important in my life... I don't know where I would be today without the friendships I have with my friends. But this post is dedicated to my internet / scrapping friends. Where would I be without the internet. I met these gorgeous girls via the internet at a scrapping forum, 3 years ago, and not long after become a part of my daily life. I check in on their blogs daily just to see what they have been up to. We chat via email constantly, and even make the time to catchup a few times a year, even though two of us come from Newy, two from Sydney and one from Victoria. This is a friendship that I treasure more than words can explain!

What else is there to do when you are sick with the flu? I have spent Monday and Tuesday resting, watching movies (Twilight - again and Sisterhood of the Travelling pants) and staying home. Though this flu is not budging, think it likes me....

Anyway, the lovely Sandy, came over to visit and scrap with me to break the boredom. I just love sandy's visits, always guaranteed to put a smile on my face. Love Ya! Anyway we decided to tackle this milk carton creation, well, what can I say!!! It was really fiddley, tested Sandy's patience... LOL! But never the less it was great to scrap and have Sandy for Company. Sorry in advance Sandy if you get this nasty flu...

Sickness, Anniversaries, scrapping, etc...

Well whats there to say!! Not much has been happening in my camp this past week. Sick with the flu as are my two boys. Just can't seem to shake it off at the moment, so the week has gone by very uneventful, just taking it easy, resting, working when I had too.

Though did manage to create one layout this week of Mums and I "High Tea" mothers day! Just love these new papers from My Minds Mind. So perfect and regal, just like our High Tea.

On Friday was mine and Grants 5 year wedding anniversary, so after getting home from work we just ventured to the local Bowling Club and had tea with our boys. Nothing Fancy, but it was still good to not have to cook tea, especially when I don't feel well.

I have to say I really detest this time of year for all the flus, colds, sicknesses and this cold windy rainy weather. Sometimes I wish I was a bear and go and hyberbate for the winter and wake me up when the weather warms. Luckily for us we have a fire, which has not gone out all week! Another reason to stay indoors.

Monster Trucks...

Not much happening this week, just the same ole same ole, work, cleaning, being a mum, wife, etc....

Though a weekend can't go by without some fun of some sort. Yesterday we had next doors little fella's "Treyvon (aka Vili)" 3rd Birthday. Now Vili and Cooper are the best of mates... If Vili's not here, Coops at his place. Very cute! So we were off to Macca's for Vili's 3rd Birthday party, and whereever Vili was Coop was right beside him like his shadow. Love the friendship that they have.

After the birthday party it was time to come home and Coop to have a sleep before the big night. At 4.30pm we left to take the kids to see the Monster Trucks. WOW, what a night. These trucks are awesome and so BIG and powerful! Amazing. The kids were like in a trance, just staring and not moving. They had motorcross show, a smashem up derby, a jet van (A van that has an aeroplace motor in it that burns fire), pretty cool, the monster trucks of course and two big fireworks displays. Was a great night..

Today is Sunday. Woke up not feeling too crash hot. The start of the flu I am thinking. You know the ole sore throat, ears, running eyes and nose. Grant took Cooper to see the Motorbikes race at Maitland, and Trav and I stayed home. Just veging....Not even in the mood for scrapping.. Maybe later...

Scrapping with the girls.

I finally got together a night to scrap with the girls from the salon where I work. Each of them are into scrapping in one way or another. Whether it be making cards or started scrapping years ago and haven't done it in a while. So it was time to get together and scrap!

I booked a class with Sonya, who is the marketing manager for Kaszazz. I love going to her studio, turning up with nothing but your pics. Being told what to do, while we can catch up on chit chat and lollies. Such a great night. We decided that we are going to get together once a month and scrap at Sonya's.

No brainer scrapping I call it. Just heaps more fun to be had with your friends. Classes are excellent. This class focused alot on stamping, which I must admit I don't do alot of, and should, because the effects are great. Just loved these layouts.

Happy Mothers Day!

Firstly I would like to say, Happy Mothers Day mum, without you I wouldn't be the person that I am today!!! Happy Mothers Day to all the other MUM's out there! Us mums make the world go round, and clean washing & dishes, and made beds, and clean houses, and .........

MUM & Me before I took her out for High Tea

Can't say that I woke too happy though, after my little motorbike accident yesterday, I have to say I have woke up rather stiff and very bloody sore all over. Feels like I have whiplash to my entire body! My neck hurts, my shoulders, my boobs even, I can hardly move! A few more bruises have come out but the scratches look pretty good. Damaged ego indeed!!! Have to remember that I am 34 not 15!!!! I am too old to crash motorbikes!!!

Though I did have a nice awaking. Travis brought me in a gorgeous handmade card he had made from school, as did Cooper, travis had bought me a scarf from the Mothers day stall at school! Very thoughtful! Grant bought me in a cup of tea in bed, along with a bunch of flowers, a card and a lottery gift pack! Very nice indeed. Took me a while to get the courage up to move and get out of bed.... LOL!

Anyway once up, got into gear and got ready to take my mum out for an English High Tea. OMG! How posh and elegant. We felt like royalty! I loved it! They served us English Breakfast Tea in Bone China Cups out of Sterling Silver Tea Pots. First came some little gourmet sandwiches, then a three layered cake stand full of bite sized treats to sample. We were in heaven, was so nice and very different...

Bacchus House - High Tea Though must have ran over the accident fairy yesterday as my high tea didn't end unscaved... Walking to the car, my heels hit a pothole, my right ankle twisted and down I went... LOL! Grazed knees now with holey stockings, not a good look! I wonder when my third time lucky is going to hit!!!! OMG I dread to think! Think I have the case of the clumsy's or something!!!

Now going to the Bay to throw some flowers in the ocean for Grants mum where we scattered her ashes. Then having dinner at Anna Bay Tavern where Netty loved to go! A little hard for Grant today being the first Mothers Day without his mum, so this will be a nice thing to do, just the four of us! Hope you have all had a lovely Mothers Day! Want to hear how you spent your day!!!! Do tell!

Injured - contents not too graphic!! LOL!!!

Well what can I say it started out a brilliant start to a Saturday! Grant didn't work, took the kids for an early fish, I got to stay at home and have some quiet time.... So I actually got to watch a full movie, with my feet up, kicked back on the lounge, with no interuptions. Blissful! I watched "The Women" With Debra Messing, Meg Ryan, etc. Good movie.

Once the boys came home it was motorbike time. So we took the motorbikes over to the bush for a few hours of riding. Again me and one of the boys on the Peewee and Grant and another on the Thumpstar. We also met one of Grants mates over there with his daughter... Now let me clarify something first. A peewee is a 50cc motorbike, just putts along, not overly fast, the Thumpstar is about the same size as the peewee, but is a 125cc motorbike and has balls!!!

After a few rides with the kids, I thought I would do a solo run, and this time take the Thumpstar for a squirt. I have no idea what happened next, but I was rounding a bend, hit the throttle instead of pulling the clutch in to change gears back, and ended up going through the bush instead of round the track. Ended up over the hangers, motorbike runs over left leg while I slide on my right side through a thistle bush! LOL! But shit did it hurt but as I say it was oh so quick!!!

I somehow managed to pull the bike up and get it back on the track but my legs had turned to jelly and there was no way I could kick start it again! So me and the bike headed back for base, sore, scratched up, bruised with a battered ego! LOL!

Here's some of the injuries. Nothiing too major, just alot of scratches a bruises to my right leg and arm, bruises to my left inner thigh and knee, a sore left wrist and sore left ankle at this stage. God help me tomorrow!!!

The injuries - too funny! Ok So I refuse to cook tea now, came home, cleaned up, soaked in a hot bath, and ordered in Pizza!! Off to bed shortly to watch a movie! Sweetdreams! LMAO!!!

Nanny's Brag Book

Mothers day is all about letting your mum know just how much you love her.... My mum is just about ready to head on a cruise for 2 weeks, so why not create a little light weight brag book for her to take with her so that we can be with her too!

I whipped this up late tonight, nothing like leaving things until the last minute but just didn't know what to make mum for mothers day until it hit me! A brag book, so that she can always keep it in her bag!!!

The Album - Nanny's Brag Book

I made the album out of the MM Fifth Avenue 4 x 6 Journal Papers, created clear acrylic front cover and a chipboard backing, filled it with recent pics of me, Grant and the boys, complete with ring to hold it all together and ribbons. Not to mention a matching card that I had actually made for a Scrap Challenge on Scrapbook shelf last mothers day! Knew it would come in handy!! LOL! I am sure she is going to love it!!!

Bella "Damsel" Range

OMG I am soooooo in love with this range! Have enjoyed scrapping with these papers the last two days.. So nice to scrap in pink, especially when I have a household of boys!

As i said earlier, Our wedding anniversary is just around the corner, I looked up what 5 years meant and what gift you should buy! The answer was "Tree" So concert tickets, anything paper, gift vouchers, plant a tree together. Well I already bought us Pink Tickets for her upcoming concert here in Newy, plus a night at the Crowne Plaza in the Harbour View Spa Room. Ooh Lah Lah!!! So why not go with the paper theme, seeing how much I love paper, and scrap a mini album, a card and a layout to match! And what better papers to use but the Bella "Damsel" papers.

So here you go girls, hope you like!

What a good excuse to scrapbook! Genius whoever came up with this one! Of course I have been scrapbooking all day, along with me mate Mele, from next door!

Now I am working on something a little special for Grant and I, as our 5th Wedding Anniversary is just around the corner.. 22nd May to be exact!

I went shopping through the week, visited the good ole spotlight for a change, haven't been there for ages, but I got myself some of the Bella "Damsel" Papers and matching embellies. Perfect for a love album! Love love love them can't wait to show you the finished album, Layout and Card! Yes, I am going all out!

OK recap, last night we had a BBQ for the Anzacs, crawled into bed around 2am, only to be woken by the kids at 5,30am.... Not happy Jan!! Why is it a calling card for kids to get up so early!!!!!

So on with the show.... We decided that we would go and check out the rest of the Scarecrow Festival at Wollombi - Part 2... Took the lovely scenic route all the way to Wyong and turned off and headed to Laguna, then to Wollombi! Oh the scenery was gorgeous, just what we needed! The kids had a little sleep on the way, lucky devils.... Spotted a few more Scarecrows along the way that we never saw last weekend. This was soooo coool! The kids nearly jump out of their skin every time they spot a scarecrow..

Scarecrow Festival - Part 2 We arrived at Wollombi just in time to have lunch at the Wollombi Pub! Good ole true counter lunches!!! Whta a perfect place, like you stepped back in time... Love this little town! So would love to live there or ever have a weekender on some acres out here! Bloody gorgeous smorgeous....

ANZAC BBQ!

Well what a perfect excuse for a BBQ and few drinks with friends! Was a great night. Apparently Rod (Grants mate) had said to Rob, gunna get Lisa smashed tonight (seeing I am always the sensible one who knows her limits), not real keen on feeling like shite the next day!

And guess what kharm came back to bite him on the arse. He was the one that got totally smashed, so smashed that he had to fertilize my lawn, then passed out on the lounge. Ha Ha Ha! Tooo funny! That will teach you!!! Here's a few pics of Rod passed out cold.... Still kacking myself...

All in all, it was a great BBQ, as we always do, we all played 32 (cards - its our signature card game) until the we hours of around 2am. All except ole "chucky"! LMAO! Well maybe it will be my turn next time, Grant was the time before that, maggoted, Rod this time, so maybe my turn is just about up! We'll see! Too funny anyway, least we done the soldiers proud with out constant toasts!!!

Hope you all had a great and safe Anzac Day! Off to the scarecrow festival tomorrow. Lets hope we all wake pretty good and healthy! Cheers to that!

Saturday Ning Nings...

Firstly, a big Salute to all the Soldiers out there that fought for our country! Here's to the Anzacs!!!

One of the boys favourite pastimes at the moment, going motorbike riding out in the bush! Now they really look the part in their motorbike gear!!!

Again spent a few hours beside the pipeline, in and out of the bush, keeping a close eye out for snakes this time, seeing that last time Grant and Coop ran over an Emerald Green snake.. Grant managed to see a Red belly this time but he wasn't sticking around.

Though Trav and I saw something that I am not even sure what it was. It crossed our path about 100 metres in front of us, didn't stop, just ran out of one side of the bush, across the dirt track and into the other side of the bush. Trav's first question was "What was that mummy, was that a tiger"? I said no it wasn't orange! I then asked Travis what colour was it? and he said "All black" Exactly! It looked like a big huge black cat to me too! We were out of there quick smart, straight back to the car and waited for Grant and Coop! Told Grant when he got back and he said that there had been sitings of a big balck cat out here but not for a while! Well thanks for telling me! I shat bigtime, that was the end of riding for me and Trav, we were too scared. Coop stayed at the car with me and Trav, they rode their pushies while Grant was determined to go find it, but noluck! Not sure If I am keen to go back out there again. Man the cat must have been on steriods to be soo bloody big!!

Well now its time to get ready for a BBQ tonight for Anzac day with a few of our closest friends... Will be back shortly!

A little scrap time out!

OMGosh, think I am nearly ready for the school holidays to be over. Had such a great time with the kids, but they are starting to bounce off each other now. Cooper tormenting Travis and Travis dobbing every chance he gets. Getting a little monotonous!!!!

Spent the morning at Mele's, just a cuppa and a good chat. Let the kids do their own thing for a little while when Mele said "Lets get out tonight" Lets do some scrapping away from home! Now what a perfect idea. So we hired the Woodberry Community Centre's Conference room from 6pm to 9pm for $17. Bargain, and got away from it all!

Mele is working on an album for her Sister in Law's 30th and me well I bought a calendar at the beginning of the year and thought it was best time to scrap it, great little size for a desktop calendar too. No pictures required if you don't want to, so I scrapped it with the Kaiser Butterfly paper and put one of those sentiments beside the calendar, that way it won't date, like a photo can! Now if you buy one of these calendars, you will actually see a pic of me and Jane on the front, how cool is that?????

The Sunday!

After my lovely day with the girls in Sydney, I met up with Grant, Kate and the boys for a drink and a catch up of their day around near the Aquarium. The boys had a brilliant day, Grant and Kate had taken them to te Maritime Museum, a ferry ride over the Luna Park and rides at Luna Park! Too much fun.

We all then headed back to Kates at Five Dock, dinner, and crashed.

Up Early for a day, headed back into the City to visit the Australian Museum. WOW! What an awesome place. Three levels of amazing things. The kids were in awe as were us adults... We saw the taxidermy section, the Bird section, the Butterfly section, the Skeleton section, the gemstone section, the Australian native fauna section, the Woolley Mammoth section and the Dinosaur Section! Super exciting! The kids were so so so excited at the dinosaurs, Cooper was a little afraid, its was dark and scary, and dinosaurs roaring, the atmosphere was fantastic... Here are just some of the pics we took.

After the museum, we headed into Bondi for lunch, another wonderful meal then back to Kates to pack up the car, more pics.

Know I am going to need it, my last one lasted me two years, could still wear it if I like but had washed it so many times it had started to go ball-e! LOL! Well our weekend just didn't finish there. We thought we would take the long way home and head home via Wollombi, as the Scarecrow festival is on at the present. OMG the kids were excited all over again spotting scarecrows. What a fun arvo. Though we took a wrong turn at Wollombi and ended up at Bourke, just near Singleton, talk about the long way home, but we were in now rush, the drive through the country was fantastic, the scarecrows were cool as, going to go and check out the rest next weekend as we ran out of light....

Sydney Girly Get together!!!!

Wow what an awesome day! We (Al, Lee, Jane , Sandy and moi) all met at Janes place really early Saturday Morning! Happy Birthday Sandy, you ole chook!!!!

We then all went scrap shopping together at two different scrap shops, oh I was in sheer heaven and my poor ole wallett got holes burnt in it! LOL! But oh so totally worth it.

Then we headed into the city... Browse around Paddy's, Lunch at the Sydney Yum Cha upstairs from Paddy's. Oh it was sooo nice, and had us all cracking up at FOOK KIN FRIED RICE, seeing that FOOK is our favourite word! LMAO!!!! Oh My how funny! Of course there was a thousand pics and Sandy being the funny one of the group just couldn't help herself with the chopsticks up her nose! LOL Sandy! Never a dull moment!

Next thing we know its time to head home, the time just flew I tell you! More pics, and have to thank Jane for the pics as I didn't take my camera in with me, knew that the papparrazi would have theirs, LOL, and knew mine would get in the way! Thanks again Jane!

Again another brilliant day with the girls, these girls are my fav girls... Can't believe the whole scrapping cyberspace brought me such great friendships, Internet, I owe you one!

Scrap Night with Sonya...

The rest of the week has been much of the same, Wednesday just stayed at home and let the kids play, did the groceries, that sort of thing, nothing too exciting, Thursday I worked, and then it was fun time.

Every now and then one of us girls books a class with Sonya, she is apart of Kaszazz, they have heaps of things to make when you just need a break, a night off, no thinking, no products, you just turn up and do a class. I love it.

This time my Aunty booked the class, making some bling bling cards... Mele and I went, so needed a break, and I really fell in love with the cards... We embossed, something Mele hadn't done before, stamped, and bling'd it out! Love them!

The girls from the Salon want me to do a booking as they are card makers and want to get into Scrapping, so I made a booking in May to do a double layout. I just love easy peasy no brainers, just turn up, and be told what to do! LOL! Lazy I know! But sometimes its just what you need... Looking forward to scrapping with the girls from the Salon!

Thats me for the rest of the week. Off to work at the salon tomorrow, take my new bling cards for show and tell! LOL! Then off to Sydney for the weekend to catch up with Sandy, Jane, Al and Lee! Happy Birthday to Janey today! 40 did you say?? Well Happy 40th again luv!!! Sandy's 40th is on Saturday when we meet up! Of what a cause for celebration... Have a huge weekend ahead, will be back to blog soon! Take care.

Another Kids day...

You just gotta love the school holidays hey! Always things to do! Today Grant had a roster day off, so we thought we would do something with the kids and take them to the movies to see Monsters vs Aliens. Oh what a good movie, this was the first time we had taken Cooper to the big screen, he was really good for hald the movie then he started to get a little antsy throught the last half, though we got to watch it all. Not to mention gorge ourselves on popcorn and softdrink... LOL!

After the movie we wet and had a look inthe Motorbike shop next door, as you all know my kids are motorbike mad. Just our luck that they were having a sale, so the next thing we know we are walking out with a pair of Fox riding pants each for the boys and a fox riding shirt. At least these will be alot more protective than jeans. I'll have to take pics next time we go riding, they look so cute in all their gear....

Then it was off to Macca's for lunch, well maybe a little late, but never late than ever right? Especially when it comes to kids and McDonalds... I had a much deserved coffee and was in heaven, by the time we all got home Cooper and I were buggered, so we toddled off to bed together and snuggled and Grant took Trav to the skateboard park to play for a while. Now this didn't last long, poor ole Trav came off his little Mongoose and face planted the concrete. Put is tooth through his top lip, grazed his top lip (fat lip now) and his nose. Poor dude. So there went my snooze.... At least there was no broken bones....

4 hour scrapathon!

Wow what a day!!! Mele next door came over and we decided that we would do some scrapping together seeing that we hadn't done it for a while. Well 4 hours later and 11 cards, we called it a day! And what a day we had... Not to mention the cards we made!

Happy Easter everyone.....

Just short and sweet one today.... My kids were up at the crack of dawn. Of course the Easter bunny had already been, so we were up, camera in tow running and screaming around the front and back yard looking for easter eggs. LOL! Talk about hilarious, I am sure we woke all the neighbours.. Luckily they all have little kids too!

Cooper was lucky enough to find a DS Diego game from the Easter bunny as well as a gazillion little eggs and Travis found JakIII Playstation 2 game and a gazillion little eggs. So guess whats for brekky at our house! "CHOCOLATE"

Next on the Easter Train...... Next stop Nanny and Poppy's... LOL! Another Easter Hunt, but gosh the kids were way too quick for me, they were out of the car, noticed a few eggs laying around, and they were off, squealling, yelling, so I only have pics of the boys and their eggs....

Another day of...

Kids playing happily. We took Trav and Cooper and our two little motorbikes out to the bush today and went motobike riding for two hours.. OMG how much fun did we have..... Sorry no pics of that seeing that I was on a motorbike doubling one of the kids while Grant was on the other with another kid.... I had the Peewee (goes slower - he he he) and Grant was on the Thumpstar, had one little go on that by myself, holy shit, its got balls!!! Goes toooo fast for me, way too much power, althought it was fun for a few minutes, but I'll just stick to the little Peewee.

So what did the scrapping world bring me today..... another range of Kaiser. This range is so gorgeous. So nice to see a little purple for a change. Not too many company's do purple, so it was nice to scrap with purple and lime, such a great combo too.

This Girl

Is my next door neighbour, one of my truly treasured friends. We had a girly Christmas dinner at Hogs Breath last year, and well they were just too good not to scrap! Especially with the purple....

And of course Jane has me addicted now to making cards out of my scraps, so here are three cards made out of the scraps...

Cooking with Cooper...

Its Good Friday, Happy Easter to you all. We have had a great first day to the start of the Easter Holidays, the kids have enjoyed playing with the other kids in the street, in and out of each others houses all day.... Grant cleaned up the yard, did the edges, mowed, cleaned up the toys, and I did some scrapping relaxation therapy! Great day actually.

With it being Good Friday and all, its a must to have fish, so Grant and Cooper decided to crumb the fish together, until Cooper took over. Luckily we had some delicious Yellow Fin and Bass Groper in the freezer (Very spoilt when it comes to fish - seeing that Grant loves his fishing). Cooper thought he was the bomb crumbing the fish. And I tell you Grant cooked it to perfection on the BBQ too, it was delicious.......

My day was productive.... I got to play with one of the new ranges of Kaiser today! Marrakech... Very gorgeous papers. Now as you know, Travis had his school Easter Hat Parade yesterday, and a little girl in his class's mother forgot her camera..Me being a sucker for pics, readily said don't worry I'll take a few for you (Ha Ha Ha) - few hundred, anyway, thought it was a good excuse to make a little flip out album (A little old school I know - but so effective for a pressie) and scrapped Kaitlyn in her Easter Hat!
