What a week!

Hi All, hope this finds you all well

Touch wood, we are all well here at the present, though it has been a very busy few days! I worked at Medowie over the weekend at Headz Up Hair and Beauty! I help Janet, the owner, out every so often when she needs a day off here or a week off there, have another day in two weeks, then a week in September and another week in November. Look forward to the break in daily routine and its nice working with the girls there, as they are just gorgeous and oh so friendly!

Sunday I worked for most of the day at dads, getting all his paperwork up to date before they come home Monday, that way I don't have to work Monday! Yippee!! Monday morning we skipped Swimming Lessons and surprised Nanny and Poppy at Newcastle Airport! It was so good to see them again and the kids were so excited to see them again too! Once we got home, we were home a few hours and then my Aunty from Wollongong and my Cousin (Ally) and her partner (Phillip) and their 3yr old (Ollie) arrived for an overnight stay. I haven't seen Ally for 13 years we worked out, it has been so long, but it was so good to see her and to catch up, and to chat with her again! She is pregnant again with her second and the lucky devil is having a girl! How nice, hey, a little princess in the family, seeing that we all have a major boy streak! We all went up to the hospital to see Pop, and spend an hour or so with him, came back to mum and dads, we all had Pizza, then we went home and crashed.
Tuesday morning back to mum and dads to spend more time with Ally and her family, caught up a little bit more, she lives in Melbourne, Phillip is in IT and Ally is a Yoga teacher! Still teaching at 23 weeks pregnant! Made me wish she lived alot closer, lets home the next visit isn't another 13 years. Phillip, Ally and Ollie left at 11am to go back to Sydney, my Aunty stayed behind for another day! Tuesday afternoon Dad, Coop and I went to the Central Coast to pick up his new Corvette and I have to say I have never see him so happy in all my life, he is like a cat in the meat safe! And so he should be, he's worked hard all his life, built his business up from scratch and it has been a dream of his for a long long time, so we had fun picking up the "Vette",

Once home it was all systems go, had to be at Raymond Terrace by 6.30pm to watch Tessa sing in her High School Musical and I have to say for a 14year old she has the most amazing voice, can't wait to see where life will take her with her voice! Send shivers down your spine and tears down your cheeks! Amazing Talent and was so proud to sit in the audience, and be apart of her night!

Today spent more time with my Aunty, then had another Aunty and Uncle visiting from Wollongong, every one coming up to see my Pop in hospital. I t has been really nice to catch up with family over the past week and past months at that, especially since it has been so frequent, though such a shame it has to be under current circumstances! Pop had a stroke a few months back and is still in hospital, a major stroke! Also got a layout done today while the kids were sleeping so that was great!

Tomorrow is work all day at dads, Friday pack, then Saturday morn off the Sydney for the weekend to stay at Janes and meet some of the crew from TSE! So excited about this!First weekend I have ever had off by myself without Grant and/or the kids. Big step for me, but am excited about meeting Jane in person and all the girls from TSE! So until then I will catch you all later!

Love Always

Disaster Zone!

Just thought I'd share with you the joys of children! This morning whilst I was having a shower, I left my two DS watching TV, or so I thought! After I got out and got dressed, I headed out to make sure they were OK, as I do every morning, and man I was hit with a disaster zone. Looks like the ferals had taken over my loungeroom and what a mess they had caused! The culprit was Cooper my 18mth old, but Travis just sat and watch the whole turn of events not even to batter an eyelid! Cooper decided whilst I was showering, to grab some newspapers and spread them around the floor, along with some toys that took his interest, along with that, he went to to pantry, grabbed the box of weetbix, emptied the contents on the floor, mashed them all up with his hands and feet (I am told by Travis), then decided to use the weetbix box as a seat, and that is how I found him, his playtime over, the loungeroom an absolute mess, with Cooper sitting on the Weetbix box watching TV, plus he had someone managed to take his pants off! I was absolutely gobsmacked, and blown away that one little boy could make so much mess in about 5 minutes! Here are a few pics of the mess! Luckily for me I had all day to clean it up! LOL!

Anyway on another note, my parents are overseas at the moment and their dog "Leroy Brown" had a sleepover with us last night as he is the biggest sook and is fretting pretty bad for mum and dad! So we even let him sleep inside last night next to the fire, got up twice during the night to let him out to go to the toilet, and he was fantastic all night, did not move! He keeps whining while he was laying beside us during the day and evening, really sad, and he looks it! And he's only 4 years old, but the loyalist, gentlist, biggest softy you'll ever come across! Poor Leroy!

Thats me for another day, just finished doing all Dad's wages, put Coop to bed, and updated my blog! Grants busy out in the shed fixing his cousins car all the way from Dubbo and its freezing outside, don't envy him a bit, he needs one of those gas heaters in the shed to keep him warm! Anyway, hope all is well at your place and chat soon!

Love Always

Great News!!!!!

Hi Everyone, as I have just been reminded, I have some fantastic news to share with you all! But I will get to that in a moment, leave you all in suspense for a little bit!

OK What has been happening in my world the past week! Well last Thursday I went to Mel's Scrap Party and we made surprise boxes, really enjoyed the night, though haven't taken a picture of it yet as I have to put photo's in it, and not sure what I want to put into it yet! Will post up when I have completed it! Sunday, went to my Aunty Chris's Scrap Party and we made a two page layout incorporating a window book, really neat and it turned out great, again, I have to put pics on it, so haven't taken a photo as yet!

Aunty Chris became my lifesaver this week and next with coming with me to Swimming Lessons with the boys and looking after one, while the other is in the pool with me, while my mum is away! We then went for a drive to a new Scrapbooking Shop that opened in Lambton - Shop and Crop, and bought some wonderful things, like kids in a candy store! We grabbed Macca's on the way home for lunch with the boys, and had just a wonderful day together, thank you so much Aunty Chris for helping me out! I really appreciate it! She is all excited as her only child moved out a few weeks ago, (She is actually sad about that) but excited at the fact that she is converting his room into her own scrapbooking room, and she is doing really well, so proud of her!

Grant has been really busy the past few weeks getting the ute finished that he has been working on in the shed, now down to the final stages, it is all painted, all pimped up, just needs a few things put back together, and buffed, then it is on its way! Yippee, I might just get my hubby back for a few weeks, miss him when he is so busy!

I received a phone call from Trav's Pre School on Friday to say that he had had an accident and not to be alarmed BUT he may end up with a black eye! So what parent doesn't worry a little! So off we go to school and indeed he had a big egg on the underside of his eye, but thankfully it didn't go too black, gotta love kids.
Then on Saturday the kids and I had Trey's 8th birthday party next door, where even Trav and Coop had a go at the games. Treasure Hunt, Trying to eat a donut with you hands behind your back and the donut tied to the clothes line, Musical Chairs and a Pinyata! The boys had heaps of fun and ate heaps of lollies and junk, but it was a good day! Happy 8th Birthday Trey!
Mum and Dad have flown out to Norfolk Island for a week and are due back next Monday, so I kidnapped Leroy today as he is such a sad sack when they go away, he is inside with me at the moment, lying beside me, poor thing, at least he can have some company with me and the kids during the day!
Have also got some scrapping done during the week, one for a challenge to become a Feature Designer for the month of August on TYPE on TSE, and the other for a challenge on a Sketch by Kathy Pitt on TSE. And my good news, I won the Type Challenge, and I will be the Feature Designer on TSE for the month of August, I have to complete two layouts a week! So stayed tuned for some new layouts with TYPE! So looking forward to this opportunity and so very over the moon about it! Thankyou to Annette at TSE for giving me this great opportunity! I promise I will not let you down!

Well thats it from my world at the moment, a jammed packed week it was! Until the next time I blog, may you all take care, and sending my love your way!

Beautiful Kempsey

Hi All,

I had a wonderful weekend off, we were all went away up to my Uncles and Aunties at Kempsey, who live half an hour west out of Kempsey on their beautiful 40acre property! We relaxed, unwound and had the best time! Cooper was so taken with the Chickens, and chasing them and giggling when they flapped their wings and squarked! The boys rode their bikes, and played with the dogs and cats! We saw Kangaroos bounding through their backyard and we even got to feed and pat some possums at night! We had a BBQ for tea Saturday night and Uncle Ian lit a huge bon fire and it was so wonderful and warm and relaxing! On the Sunday morning my Aunty and I went for a 6km horse ride. It was so relaxing. All the stresses of day to day living vanishes, just took in the surroundings, took deep breathes and enjoyed the ride! It has been over 14 years since I have been on a horse and I have to say I have missed it! I missed the serenity and the peacefulness! Had to say I didn't want the weekend to end, had the best time, wished we could of stayed longer! Uncle Ians Dogs are just gorgeous, whole 3 of them, as for the 3 cats, are just the hugest but biggest softies, and their 5 horses are breathtaking! Really nice looking horses with the best temperaments! Believe me I needed a good temperament, I was back to being a beginner again! Anyway, it was an enjoyable weekend all round! Thanks so much for having us Uncle Ian and Gailene, can't wait to do it all over again!

Thought I'd also mention for any of those who are interested in White German Shepherds, go and visit www.wherewhiteisright.com as this is my cousins website and she breeds the best White German Shepherds in Australia. Worth looking at!

Thanks Janey

Thanks Janey!

The beautiful and wonderfully talented Janey Jones RAKed me by creating two digitally scrapped Storyboards of my two beautiful boys. Thanks so much Janey, you know I am a huge fan of your work and now Digi Scrapping too! You are just too talented! Thank you for thinking of me and creating these layouts of my boys, just beautiful!

A little more scrapping done during the week! I completed my first layout under the guidance of Kim Archer and was so impressed with her class! She was so down to earth, I really enjoyed being in her class! Thank you to Mandy at Raymond Terrace for having me!

On another note, I completed a layout and submitted it to be a Feature Designer for a month on a Scrapbooking Website, still haven't heard anything yet! The challenge was all about Type! Incorporating different Type on your layout! See what happens but I enjoyed doing the page none the less!

Also got my boys wooden monograms done for their doors! Loved the finished product! So masculine! Anyway thats all for the scrapping front at the moment.

Also receive a Mini Rak today from Kristine, thanks so much for all the ribbons, lace and fibres you sent to me, they are gorgeous, thanks for thinking of me! You made my day!

Also a huge thanks to Kathy for teaching me how to use brushes, am so excited about this new skill! Just have to learn storyboards now! I love learning new things, especially when it comes to scrapbooking! So thanks again Kathy, you are a gem! This is my gorgeous next door neighbour Tess, who just loves fairies! So I thought I would try out my new skill with brushes and create a Fairy page for her! She is in love with it! We love you 'Tessy Bear'
Anyway thats all for the moment in my scrapbooking world! Love to you all and sweetdreams.
